Malosa Secondary School, based in Zomba is a boarding school for young boys and girls. There are approximately around 200 girls and some 300 boys attending the school. Tukula visited the campus, and it was a great pleasure to see the delivery of Safepads to all girls at the school. The ceremony started with a welcome from the headmaster. Thereafter the special invited teacher from Safepads gave a tutorial in the usage of Safepads. Afterwards there was a good questions and answers session about daily usage. The age group of the girls was within the targeted user of tukulas project Safepads. There was girls from age 12 to 20. This is spanning form 1 to form 4, of the secondary school Malosa. Each girl received a package consisting of 4 re-usable Safepads, and a sanitary reusable bag for used Safepads. Instructions are written on the package, but was also given in the tutorial. All content of the Safepad package is produced locally in Malawi, and thereby also provides direct economic funds to Safepad and its employees. By donating a small amount of money, approximately 35 Dkk – you are securing a girls access to a re-usable Safepad which has numerous advantages. Conventional pads are expensive, often its not used at all. But some times girls decide to stay home from school, whereby their education is suffering many months a year. Tukula is aiming at minimizing this problem. 100% of all donations goes directly to the Safepad project.<\/p>\n\n\n
